About Me
Background
I was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. I started at SPOT 127 in 2012 with the first class of students. Over 8 years produced several audio, video, and written stories as well as collaborated with other students. Currently, I am a Robertson Fellow at the University of Maryland. I plan to continue my career in the federal service focusing on international security and economic policy.
Attributes
From working with several new students at Spot 127 I have picked up lots of leadership skills. I love problem-solving and collaborating with others to discover multiple perspectives on any issue. After my experience with the Department of State, I accumulated many office and technical skills to help me pursue a career in Federal Service.
My listening skills and communication skills are above those of other students my age due to my experience at NPR. I have to contact people of high authority frequently and conduct interviews. I have to change my mood and tone on the spot depending on their personality while on or off camera.
Flexibility is a skill I have developed from balancing several activities over the years. I have many multiple ways that I control stress so that it does not reflect on my work ethic. I try to always be positive and a good influence on others.
